No New Posts City Hall

Gothic and neoclassical influences dominate the features of City Hall. The statue of William Penn that resides atop City Hall's clock tower remains a Philadelphia skyline marker—until the 1980s there was a "gentleman's agreement" that no Philadelphia building would be built higher than the rim of Penn's hat. Now that zombie's have infested the city, this would probably be a bad place to go. With the hundreds of tourists around before the sickness came, this building and surrounding area is crawling with the undead. Expect a horde attack if you linger to long..

No New Posts Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia

Five-diamond award-winning hotel featuring world class service. This building is now renovated and ready for anyone that really needs a safehouse.. Some of the people that had rented rooms had acted quickly and boarded up the windows and barricaded the doors. The hotel has a fully stocked kitchen along with large storage rooms that are filled to the brim with all kinds of food. This would be one of the nicer places to stay and await the end of the infestation.

No New Posts Academy of Music

This has been the jewel of the Philadelphia culture scene since it opened in 1857. The simple brick Federalist exterior opens into an ornate interior - art deco lamps, velvet cushions, and possibly the largest chandelier on the East Coast. The Philadelphia Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Ballet, the opera and the occasional pop show have performed at the academy. There is some criticism about the acoustics and sight lines, but none of this matters. This is where the big shows are. At the moment this building is used as a safehouse against the undead and rebel gangs.

No New Posts Rittenhouse Square Fitness Club

The health programs at the Rittenhouse Square Fitness Club place emphasis on muscle tone and cardio health as opposed to heavy bodybuilding. More than 55 aerobic classes are held per week. There are specially designed workouts for members of all levels of fitness and all ages. Nautilus apparatus and a 44-piece cardio-center fill the 12,000 square feet of workout space. Short term and yearly memberships are available. Note: The 2000 block of Rittenhouse Square is a side street between 20th and 21st Streets and Spruce and Pine Streets. If your lucky you can come in here and steal some water and some of the food that still remains, otherwise this place really doesn't have much to offer.

No New Posts Raw Sushi and Sake Lounge

Doubling as a restaurant and a nightspot, Raw is a great addition to the vibrant neighborhood of Midtown Village. Now the place is empty of all life, and the food has begun to go bad. The only thing that would be useable here would be the sake and perhaps knives?

No New Posts Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo, in operation since 1874, is the oldest zoo in the United States. Frank Furness designed the beautiful Victorian gates and gatehouses, still standing grandly at the entrance. The zoo has nearly 1500 animals in various habitats, including a small mammal house, a reptile and amphibian house, a prairie dog field, and “African Plains.” Kids and parents will enjoy the children’s zoo with animals to pet, a ride on a camel’s back in the African Plains, and a trip around the zoo on the monorail. This is place to be avoided at all cost. All of the vistors of the zoo have probably been infected from the undead, and you would have to possibly deal with undead animals too? Going here would only result in a visit from the horde

No New Posts Laurel Hill Cemetery

The 95 acres of Laurel Hill became the final resting place for many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and other members of the colonial Philadelphia elite. Neo-classical monuments and mausoleums designed by master craftsmen Joseph A. Bailey and Alexander Calder, rare trees and botanical life flourish in the cemetery—most likely an ancillary effect from the nearby Fairmount Park Horticultural Center. This is one of the safer places for you to be during the infestation. Since most people don't think to come here so it's very rare to see a zombie around.

No New Posts Old St. George's Church

Founded in 1767, this is the world's oldest Methodist Church building in continuous use. In addition to weekly worship services, a museum contains many artifacts of the early Methodists. Treasures include the 1771 Asbury Bible, the oldest known Methodist Chalice in the world, many portraits of famous early Church members and an extensive collection of early Methodist publications. There's also a Gift Shop. Call ahead to schedule a guided tour. This is not somewhere you would want to linger long. Your enemy here is not really the undead more of less it's the people that have gone crazy. Faith does things after all..

No New Posts Welcome Park

William Penn founded Philadelphia in 1682 as the capital of the Pennsylvania colony. This park was named after Penn's ship, the Welcome. The statue of Penn in the middle of the park is a miniature of the one atop City Hall that was designed by Alexander Milne Calder. The Friends of Independence National Historical Park built Welcome Park in 1982 to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the founding of Pennsylvania. It is located on the site of the Slate Roof House, Penn's residence in Philadelphia from 1699-1701, across the street from the City Tavern. Now it's used mostly for children and families to enjoy the outdoors. With the undead crawling around one takes a risk by staying here for very long..
